Welcome to Version 2.0

As you’ve surely noticed, Review Hub Central has undergone some changes. I’ve been gradually adding features for the year the site has been up and running, but I felt it was time for a total revamp. It’s still the same website (all of the reviews, your comments, and such are in tact). This is just an aesthetic change.

So, what’s new to version 2.0? First off, Review Hub Central is now wider - there’s more breathing room for text, images, and the like. There’s also a fancy new banner on the
home page. Not everything has been tweeked accordingly, so you may notice some weird hiccups along the way. But no worrys, I’ll continue to update as we go along. I admittedly rushed this out a bit for the new season of Breaking Bad (starting tomorrow! Hell yeah!), so if you see any problems, please let me know. A few of the design choices of the old website have been axed - no more color-coded pages, sorry. Instead, I opted for a cleaner, more consistent design choice.

But, enough of the changes; let’s talk about what’s staying the same. Still no ads - I don’t make a dime off this website. Any Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or Gamestop links are simply to allow you to get a copy of the product I’m reviewing. I have no affiliation - the links are for you, not for them. Secondly, it’s still me. I’m the only one writing these reviews (as evidenced by my signature ‘-MP,’) and I will continue to bring you the latest.

I thank all of you that have been following this site, and I’d love to hear your thoughts on the new design. Feel free to leave a comment, or
shoot me an email.

Thanks again,
Matt Paczkowski

Welcome to Review Hub Central

If you’ve been following me, you may know my reviews from my former website, mpaczkowski.com That one’s been up for nearly a year, but I’ve decided to take it down and shift my approach with a brand new website. It’s still under construction and needs work but I decided to go live today.

So here’s a quick breakdown of the site.

What’s new to Review Hub Central:
  • The Title: I decided to get rid of mpaczkowski.com because on one hand, it’s a little selfish to have a review site named after me. But on the other hand, Review Hub Central is easier to type out, it more-or-less describes the content, and it’s pretty easy to remember. I probably would have kept the site under my name if I didn’t have the hardest last name to spell!
  • The Layout. You’ll almost immediately notice the drop-down menu at the top of the page. This makes navigation so much easier than on my old site; you’ll be able to access any page from anywhere, which is definitely a welcomed feature. My only concern is what’ll happen when there’s too many articles on the site… I’ll figure out a solution when we get there!
  • Color Schemes. You may notice that the site changes colors on different pages. This is of course intentional so that each hub has its own distinctive feel. Here’s a quick break down: television = blue, movies = violet, literature = green, video games = red, essays = yellow, everything else = black.
  • Comments that Actually Work. The comments on Review Hub Central are much, much better than the ones on mpaczkowski.com. They’re larger, easier to read, and easier to share. You’ll also notice that you can share the articles on twitter and facebook - I’m not sure if anyone will, but you have the option! :)
  • Better Links. Now you’ll notice prominent links on the sidebar of review pages. In addition to facebook and twitter sharing, you’ll also able to link to Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or Gamestop (when available) to purchase the item if you wish. I’m not affiliated with any of these sites, and I don’t make any money whatsoever from them (I make no money off this site, and choose not to use any advertisements). I only put these links to make it easier for you to obtain the book, movie, or video game if you want it.
  • Cleaner Code. This one’s a little less visible, but you’ll probably notice that the website runs a lot smoother than mpaczkowski.com. That’s because this one has been designed a lot cleaner, and I have much more control here.

What's stayed the same:
  • Content. Don't worry, all the reviews have been successfully transferred over from mpaczkowski.com. You'll find all of them here and in tact, with slight variations. All the content has remained unchanged - I may have simply added a new image, a different video, etc.
  • Me. I'm still the only one writing these reviews, and I'll continue to update as frequently as I can. As always, feel free to contact me and let me know if you have any tips, comments, or suggestions. I'd love to hear from you - just head on over to the Contact me page to shoot me an email.
Well that's about it, guys. Thanks for reading my articles and checking out the new site - I really appreciate it!! Please let me know what you think either in the comments below or through email.
